DIFC Wills & Probate Registry Services

Protect Your Assets and Secure Your Family’s Future

For non-Muslim expatriates residing in the UAE, estate planning is a critical consideration. Under UAE law, Sharia principles may apply to the distribution of assets upon death if no valid will is in place. The DIFC Wills and Probate Registry provides a unique solution, allowing non-Muslims to register wills that will be enforced according to their own wishes and the laws of their home country, rather than Sharia law. T4ME provides guidance and support services to help you navigate the process of registering a will with the DIFC Wills Service Centre, ensuring your assets are protected and your loved ones are provided for.

We help you understand your options and connect you with the resources needed to secure your estate.

What is the DIFC Wills and Probate Registry?

The DIFC Wills and Probate Registry is a specialized service established within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). It allows non-Muslim residents and property owners in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah to register wills that govern the distribution of their assets located in these emirates.

Key Features:

  • Choice of Law: Your will can specify that the laws of your home country (or another common law jurisdiction) will govern the distribution of your assets.
  • Guardianship Provisions: You can appoint guardians for your minor children in the event of your death.
  • Enforceability: Wills registered with the DIFC are legally enforceable through the DIFC Courts.
  • Clarity & Certainty: Provides peace of mind that your wishes will be respected.
